walkway), we deliver high-quality, practical engineering solutions across New Zealand’s critical industries.
Over the past three years, Five-D has experienced significant and sustained growth, building a strong reputation, expanding our client base, and developing a solid forward workload. As we continue this momentum, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our high-performing team and play a key role in delivering successful outcomes for our clients and our business.
About the Role
This is a senior-level position where you will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex projects, from concept through to completion. You will act as a trusted partner to our clients, ensuring delivery excellence while supporting the growth and development of our internal team.
You will:
- Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation through to completion, including planning, execution, and close-out
- Take overall accountability for project performance, including delivery, commercial outcomes, and client satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting to ensure successful outcomes
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and project staff
- Contribute to continuous improvement and business growth initiatives

About You
You are an experienced Project Manager who combines strong technical understanding with excellent leadership and communication skills.
You will bring:
* 8+ years’ experience managing complex engineering or industrial projects
* Strong commercial acumen and project governance capability
* Proven experience delivering projects to scope, budget, and schedule
* Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management skills
* Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with high attention to detail
* Confidence operating in a dynamic, growing business environment
Experience in the energy or heavy industrial sectors will be highly regarded.
