Description

Fiordland Lobster Company is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Driver to join our Te Anau team.

This is a critical role responsible for safely and efficiently transporting seafood products and equipment across the Southland region and beyond.

About the Role

As a Driver with Fiordland Lobster Company, you will:

• Transport live and processed seafood between factories, depots, and customers

• Complete scheduled and unscheduled freight runs as required

• Ensure load security and compliance with transport regulations

• Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate logbooks

• Operate vehicles safely in challenging road and weather conditions

• Represent the Company professionally when interacting with fishers, suppliers, and customers

This role requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to health & safety.

Essential Requirements

• Current NZ Class 2 and Class 5 driver licences

• Proven experience driving heavy vehicles on New Zealand roads

• Confidence driving in all weather conditions, particularly Southland winter conditions (ice, snow, alpine passes, heavy rain and reduced visibility)

• Strong knowledge of NZ transport regulations and fatigue management

• Excellent safety record

• Ability to work early mornings, late finishes, and seasonal peak demands
