Are you an experienced commercial, contracts, or project professional looking for a flexible role where you can make a genuine impact?

Edison is seeking a Commercial Support Manager to help strengthen our commercial capability across tendering, contract management, and project delivery activities.

This is a senior advisory role supporting project managers, and technical specialists across a diverse portfolio of energy, infrastructure, and engineering projects. You’ll help shape commercial outcomes, improve contract governance, and manage risk throughout the project lifecycle.

This position is ideally suited to someone seeking a part-time role (approximately 2-3 days per week) with flexibility around when and where work is undertaken.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Finance and Commercial, you will provide practical commercial and contractual support across our business, including:

  • Reviewing tender documents, consultancy agreements, and client contracts.
  • Supporting bid teams with commercial risk assessments and tender submissions.
  • Negotiating contract terms and advising on risk allocation.
  • Supporting project managers through project delivery, variations, extensions of time, and contract compliance.
  • Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risks.
  • Improving commercial processes, templates, and governance frameworks.
  • Coaching and mentoring project teams on commercial best practice.
  • Acting as a trusted commercial advisor to job managers and business leaders.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring a pragmatic approach, sound judgement, and the ability to balance commercial risk with successful project outcomes.

Ideally you will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial management, contracts administration, project management, quantity surveying, procurement, or a related field.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong understanding of commercial risk and contract management principles.
  • Experience supporting tendering and bid activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience in engineering consultancy, infrastructure, construction, professional services, or a similar environment.

Qualifications

A degree in either Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project or Construction Management, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
