Before you hit Apply, read this bit first.

We’re hosting interview hours and we’d love you to come say hi. Think speed dating, but for jobs.

Bring your CV (printed or digital), bring your personality, and bring the vibes.

Interview Hours

  • Tuesday 13th & 20th October: 3:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-7:00pm
  • Saturday 24th October: 11:00am-12:00pm

Can’t make those times? No stress. Apply online and let us know in your cover letter when you’re available to meet.

We’d much rather meet you than judge you from a piece of paper, so either come along to interview hours or tell us when you can. If you skip both steps, this probably isn’t the role for you.

What’s the gig?

Rambler is the venue. Drifter is the home.

We’re looking for casual F&B Attendants to join the crew.

This is true casual work. Some weeks you might pick up one shift. Other weeks, five. One day it could be breakfast service, the next a private event, a busy stadium night or cocktails behind the bar.

Hours will vary based on events, occupancy and business levels, making this a great fit for students, travellers, those juggling another job, or anyone chasing flexibility.

No hospitality experience? That’s okay. We’ll teach the right people.

What you’ll be doing

You could find yourself:

  • Serving breakfast and brunch
  • Working restaurant shifts
  • Pouring beers, shaking cocktails and running the bar
  • Supporting stadium and event service
  • Assisting with group catering
  • Working private functions and special events
  • Creating great experiences for guests from all over the world

What we’re looking for

  • A positive attitude and good energy
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys being around people
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to jump between different styles of service
  • Availability across evenings, weekends and event days
  • A willingness to learn, help out and get stuck in

Perks of the Gig

  • Keen to explore? We’ve got hostels across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Real perks, not just pizza: Discounts on brands you actually use. Think JB Hi-Fi, Uber Eats and more.
  • Mate’s rates: Enjoy discounted stays across the board for you, your fam and your travel crew.
  • Learn your way: Get access to heaps of online courses through our learning platform, whether you’re levelling up for work or just following your curiosity.
  • Give back: A paid volunteering day each year to support a cause that matters to you.
  • Mind, meet peace: Free counselling and wellness support through our Employee Assistance Program, just a call away.
  • Stay well, keep moving: Free annual flu vaccinations on us.
  • Permanent visa pathways: Team members who show exceptional skill may have the opportunity, in future, to step into a more senior role and be considered for sponsorship.

Why Drifter?

At Drifter, we create spaces where travellers become mates, stories get shared and good times happen naturally.

Our team is made up of people from different places, backgrounds, cultures, identities and beliefs. That’s part of what makes us who we are.

If you’re the kind of person who enjoys looking after people, loves a good atmosphere and wants to be part of a team that doesn’t take itself too seriously, we’d love to meet you.
