Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

Dobbie has spent 35 years helping New Zealand’s industrial sector build safer, more reliable, and more productive plants. We’re growing, and we’re looking for an engineer who enjoys complex problems, great clients, and meaningful work to join our Auckland based team.

What you’ll do

• Support engineering projects from 3 months to 3 years duration
• Work across greenfield and brownfield sites with project values from $1m to $400m
• Build strong client relationships and shape practical, reliable solutions
• Support site work, commissioning, QA, risk, and delivery
• Contribute to a supportive, values-driven, good-humoured team

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years industrial or process engineering experience
• Experience supporting or leading small to medium capital projects
• Strong judgement, standards knowledge, and communication
• Strong aptitude for engineering design and problems solving
• A collaborative, proactive approach
