Packing Operator

Champion Flour Milling Limited is a successful company with huge importance to the New Zealand economy. It is the industry leader in flour, premix, speciality flour and grains, and cereal fibres. The company has been operating for over 160 years and this wealth of experience is important to the continued success of the organisation.

We are currently looking for a Rotation Shift Packing Operator to be based at our Mt Maunganui site and to work in our packing operation on a permanent full-time basis. 

The Packing Operator is an integral member of the Packing team, the position will provide strong support to the existing site-based team by:

• Ensuring that the day-to-day productivity of the pre weigh, premix and packing areas are at optimal levels  
• Ensuring products are properly packaged according to quality standards
• Monitoring production lines, performing quality checks, and maintaining accurate documentation while adhering to safety protocols within a manufacturing environment

Rotation Shift Pattern: 6:00am to 6:00pm 3 days on and 3 days off then 6:00pm start 6:00am finish, 3 nights on 3 nights off

Hourly Rate: $28 – $33 depending on skills and experience

Work environment: Packaging operators typically work in manufacturing facilities, often on production lines and may be exposed to noise and repetitive tasks.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with previous experience in food handling packing operations, however, full training will be given with strong emphasis on workplace Health & Safety, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.

• You will need your own transport to enter the Port of Tauranga
