Software Tester – Remote

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Software Tester to join our aerospace team in Haruru, Northland. This temporary, casual role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems, which are integral to our aerospace operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and a passion for delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with software developers and project managers to understand project requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains intact after changes.
• Participate in code reviews and provide input on software design and architecture.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software testing, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency in testing tools and methodologies, including automated testing frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
