Description

Project Administrator / Junior QS | Christchurch Office | Full-Time, open to Part-Time

Own the documentation and commercial records that keep our South Island Region projects running without a hitch. You’ll work closely with our Project Managers, QSs and Site Managers to keep contracts, variations and progress claims accurate and audit-ready at every stage.

Based in our Christchurch office. Full-time, though we’re open to part-time for the right candidate.

What You’ll Own

  • The document register — drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence
  • The variations register — every potential variation logged on the day it’s identified, tracked through to approval
  • Subcontractor progress claims — processing, payment schedules, retention tracking, and subcontract records
  • Compliance registers — insurances, licences, H&S documentation
  • Supporting the QS with client progress claim preparation, cost reporting, and commercial documentation
  • Minute taking, marketing assistance and general office duties as required

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years’ project administration experience in the construction industry OR you’re currently studying towards, or a recent graduate Quantity Surveyor
  • A solid understanding of (or genuine interest in learning) construction contracts and variation administration
  • Confidence with document control platforms; Procore, Aconex, OSHE, or similar
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel for cost tracking
  • A relevant qualification in construction administration, QS, or business administration is desirable — but your track record and attitude matter more

This role would also suit someone looking to build towards Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration, or Project Management. If you’ve got the right attitude and some relevant experience, we’re open to the conversation.
