Booster is looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the corporate financial reporting, technical accounting, management reporting, budgeting, audit management, and accounting governance across a diverse financial services business. You’ll help ensure the integrity of financial information while contributing to process improvements, strong financial controls, and effective decision-making.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance and Human Resources, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across Booster’s corporate entities, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, managing external audits, and providing technical accounting expertise across the business.
You will work closely with senior leaders, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality financial information supports operational, strategic, and governance decisions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strong technical accounting capability with commercial insight, and a practical approach to solving problems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and senior leader reporting.
- Delivering variance analysis, financial insights, and performance reporting to support decision-making.
- Assisting with Board and Audit and Risk Committee reporting, including group consolidation reporting.
- Preparing statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Coordinating the annual audit process.
- Preparing technical accounting assessments, accounting position papers, and advice on transactions and new accounting standards.
- Supporting financial reporting requirements across both corporate entities
- Coordinating annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitoring cash flow performance and supporting financial planning activities.
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers.
- Maintaining strong financial controls, procedures, and documentation standards.
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency.
- Preparing corporate dividend documentation, including solvency certificates and director resolutions.
- Supporting wider Finance team initiatives and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
- Supporting the adoption of technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and reporting outcomes.
- Building strong relationships across the business and with external stakeholders to deliver effective financial outcomes.

Ideally, you’ll have:
- CA ANZ or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Experience preparing management reporting, budgets, and forecasts.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
- An interest in automation, technology, and AI-enabled ways of working.
- Financial services, insurance, or other regulated industry experience would be advantageous.
