Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Kerb and Channel Specialist with attention to detail in finishing, also fit sub frames, grates and vehicle cut downs, to join our dynamic team in Christchurch, Canterbury. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the successful installation and maintenance of kerb and channel systems, which are vital for effective drainage and road safety. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the building and construction industry, contributing to our commitment to high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Kerb and Channel finishing,
  • Fit sub frames and grates as well as vehicle cut downs
  • Install and maintain kerb and channel systems in accordance with project specifications and local regulations.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine the best methods and materials for installation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that arise during the installation process.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff and apprentices as required.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in kerb and channel installation within the building and construction industry. Including but not limited to Kerb and Channel finishing, Fit sub frames and grates as well as vehicle cut downs.
  • Strong understanding of drainage systems and road safety requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are preferred.
