Looking After Our Team

About the Role
As Civil Foreman, you’ll be responsible for leading crews across a range of civil infrastructure projects throughout Canterbury. You’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the high standards our clients expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily site operations.
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, company procedures and quality standards.
- Plan daily activities and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor productivity and proactively resolve site issues.
- Mentor and develop team members.
- Maintain accurate project records and reporting.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks.
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, clients and stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
The successful applicant will have:
- Proven experience as a Civil Foreman.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Extensive knowledge of civil construction methodologies and best practices.
- A strong commitment to health, safety and quality.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience coordinating multiple work fronts and subcontractors.
- A current New Zealand Driver Licence.
- Relevant industry qualifications, WTR endorsements or Site Safety qualifications are highly regarded.
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
