About the opportunity

We are seeking Casual Registered Nurses to provide cover across a range of shifts. Casual hours are offered as needed, with no guaranteed minimum hours.

In every shift, you will combine sound clinical judgement with warmth, respect and person-centred care. You will support residents’ physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing while building trusted relationships with residents, whānau and colleagues.

What you will do

• Assess residents’ health needs and deliver safe, evidence-informed nursing care.
• Manage medicines, monitor changes in health and respond confidently to clinical needs.
• Develop and review person-centred care plans in partnership with residents and whānau.
• Provide clear health education, guidance and reassurance to residents, whānau and colleagues.
• Coordinate care with the wider team and uphold quality, safety and documentation standards.

What you will bring

• Current New Zealand Nursing Council registration and a valid Annual Practising Certificate.
• Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and communication skills.
• A calm, adaptable and resilient approach in a busy care environment.
• Genuine empathy and respect for older people, their identity, culture, choices and life experience.
• A collaborative mindset and the confidence to support and guide other members of the care team.

Previous aged-care experience is valued, but we also welcome Registered Nurses who bring transferable clinical skills and a strong commitment to learning.
