Description

All Energy Contracting NZ (AECNZ) specialise in cable installation, trenching, laying, backfilling, civils and HV connections within the Renewable Energy Sector, Based out of Rolleston, we have the support, capability and expertise to successfully deliver projects throughout New Zealand.

We are currently delivering a Solar Farm project in Taupo and are seeking dedicated and experienced Operators to join our team. Summary: As an Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating plant and equipment across the project, supporting civil construction activities within the renewable energy sector. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, adaptable, and have experience operating machinery in a construction environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating a range of earthmoving heavy plant machinery in a safe and effective manner on the farm, e.g., Excavator, Dozer, Moxy, Loader, Compactor, Roller, Laser Bucket, Dump Trucks, etc.
  • Preparation, positioning, general care, maintenance and troubleshoot on machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation and identify any issues or defects.
  • Excavate, load, transport soil, gravel and other materials to compact and/or cover waste in accordance with company/contractual. requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instructions or operating procedures and company regulations.
  • Complying with all WHS safety practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrating commitment to environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional image, cleanliness and organisation of work area.
  • Complete required paperwork such as maintenance logs.
  • Continuously learn and develop skills necessary to operate machinery and equipment in the plant.

 

Qualifications &Skills

·      Must have full working rights in New Zealand

  • Extensive experience (4+ years) with capable precision work (3-5mm tolerances)
  • Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Site Safe (Civil) Card, Full Class 1 and W,T,R license, or a recognised equivalent
  • High level of understanding the importance of Health and Safety
  • Experience working in 3 waters, trenching, laying cable/pipe. Experience operating within shields would be beneficial. Solar/pipeline/trenching experience would be and advantage however, not essential.
