We have an exciting opportunity for a Container Surveyor / Hoist Driver to join our rapidly growing logistics, container sales, leasing business at our Auckland branch.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high standards
Key Responsibilities
- Loading, unloading and moving containers using a forklift/hoist
- Managing container Gate In/Gate Out processes
- Carrying out container surveys and grading (Cargo Worthy and IICL)
- Liaising with transport companies and truck drivers
- Maintaining a safe and organised yard
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Forklift experience is an advantage (training and licensing can be provided for the right applicant)
- IICL Surveyor Certification or extensive container survey experience is highly desirable
- Experience in the container industry is beneficial but not essential
- Basic computer skills are an advantage
- A motivated, reliable and self-driven attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic
- A commitment to safety and quality
