RSGx are seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to develop and implement an efficient procurement system for our organisation. This role will be responsible for streamlining procurement processes, sourcing quality suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing across the company.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Fluency in Mandarin is highly desirable and will be an asset when collaborating with our international suppliers
• Proven experience in procuring cables, cable accessories, HV insulators, HV/LV switchgears, transformers, distribution/utility poles, electrical accessories and equipment.
• Proven experience in dealing and management suppliers and distributers in China
• Identify and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, services, and equipment.
• Establish and enforce purchasing policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with agreements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering/project teams to understand procurement needs and specifications
• Analyze market trends to identify potential cost savings and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate closely with construction delivery and planning teams to ensure procurement activities are synchronised with project schedules.
• Maintain a Procurement Register, ensuring all procurement activities support the timely delivery of construction milestones.
• Provide support to cost control teams and ensure all procurement activities are effectively tracked through updated reporting dashboards.
You will need to possess the following experience & skills:
• Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of procurement systems and processes.
• Exceptional commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and implement strategies that deliver cost savings and process improvements.
• Knowledge of relevant procurement software and tools is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Candidates with extensive construction delivery experience, rather than client-side roles, will be highly regarded.
• A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable but not essential.
