Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing organisation supporting our Australian financial operations. The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage and process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, expenses, and other financial obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorisation before payment.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable records.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records of all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and correspondence.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes by ensuring all payables are accounted for and reconciled.
  • Generate and provide accounts payable reports to management, detailing payment status, outstanding invoices, and other relevant information.
  • Ensure that all accounts payable activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and support of financial audits by providing documentation and information related to accounts payable transactions.
  • Understand basic construction procurement, vendor processes, ABN checks, and GST checks.
  • Verify and obtain all appropriate documentation for new vendor setup, including bank information, and correct payment terms per Procurement guidelines.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in accounts payable and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills (Proficient in English).
