Job Description: Audit Senior Associate
Job Summary:
As an Audit Senior Associate, you will be responsible for performing audit reviews, assisting in the audits of larger listed groups of companies, and leading small and medium-sized audit engagements. You will work closely with audit managers and directors to ensure the successful completion of audit engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in planning and conducting audit reviews from start to finish.
2. Lead small and medium-sized audit engagements independently.
3. Assist in the audits of larger listed groups of companies under the guidance of audit managers and directors.
4. Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, internal controls, and accounting processes.
5. Identify areas for improvement in clients’ financial systems and provide recommendations.
6. Prepare accurate and concise working papers that support findings and conclusions.
7. Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project objectives within deadlines.
8. Maintain a high level of confidentiality while handling sensitive client information.
Qualifications:
1. A recognized degree in Accounting or equivalent with at least a second class upper classification is required.
2. Professional Accounting qualification such as ACCA or CPA is highly preferred.
3. Candidates currently pursuing a recognized Professional Accounting qualification are encouraged to apply as well.
4. Involvement in extra-curricular activities during school/university is desired.
5 Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team effectively.
6 Possesses an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
7 Strong written and verbal command over English language along with proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia
8 Proficient knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
9 Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
10 Ability to maintain professionalism at all times while handling client matters
