About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Technical Bid Engineer / Proposal Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in supporting our growth by developing compelling, accurate, and competitive proposals for high-profile projects across the energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors in Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
Bid & Proposal Development:
Analyse clients’ tender specifications and collaborate with internal teams to create comprehensive deliverables such as RFQ packages and technical clarifications. Work with engineers, project managers, estimators, and other SMEs to extract technical information and craft clear, persuasive proposal content. Develop and maintain a library of standard proposal content, case studies, and technical write-ups. Support the bid admin team in producing fully compliant, high-quality submissions. Ensure consistency in language, formatting, and branding across all submissions. Tailor responses to various clients and project requirements, demonstrating an understanding of their unique needs.
Technical Engineering Input:
Provide expertise in electrical infrastructure, including mining operations, power distribution, and transmission line projects. Review engineering designs, schematics, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and bid documents. Support the estimating team by defining technical scopes, assessing risks, and exploring value engineering opportunities. Assist in developing innovative technical solutions that enhance bid competitiveness and project feasibility.
Collaboration & Communication:
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant technical and commercial information. Support bid planning meetings to identify win themes, key differentiators, and technical strategies. Collaborate closely with the estimating team to align technical narratives with cost estimations. Manage inputs from multiple stakeholders to meet tight deadlines.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure all bid documents adhere to client requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Conduct detailed proofreading and quality checks to eliminate errors and ensure clarity. Track and incorporate feedback from previous bids to continuously improve submissions.
Research & Market Intelligence:
Stay informed on industry trends, client needs, and regulatory requirements. Conduct competitor analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and differentiators in bids. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance bid strategies and improve win rates.
