Senior Project Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating projects construction method, schedule and tender costing for pre-contract stage and technical clarification, scope confirmation, document submission for post-contract stage. The Construction Engineer will work closely with other team members, including project managers, quantity surveyors, and project engineer, to ensure that all tender and project objectives are met.

Responsibilities:

• Develop construction method, project plans, schedules, and costing.
• Coordinate and work on tender activities with quantity surveyor for costing purposes.
• Check for scope in bill of quantities in terms of scope and technicality.
• Communicate with suppliers and sub-contractors for quotation, scope of work, and technical clarification.
• Ensure that all scope, costing and method is captured for the completion of the project.
• Prepare and present to client or consultant the proposed construction methodology for the tender submitted.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.
• Ensure that all project documentation is summited and approved.
• Participate in project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer on site or a related role
• Strong construction methodology and costing, including the ability to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with quantity take off and scheduling software and tools
