Warehouse Supervisor

Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for receiving and dispatching goods, order picking and packing, stock control, and inventory management. They must maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods, operate warehouse equipment safely, and work closely with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming goods and check against delivery note and purchase order
• Label and stock incoming goods in designated locations, noting all relevant details in the inventory system
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods
• Assist with regular stock counts and reconciliations
• Pick orders accurately and pack orders for dispatch
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse
• Ensure all stock is properly labeled, stored and managed, in line with company guidelines
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment safely and as per company policy
• Identify and report any potential safety hazards or equipment faults to the warehouse manager/supervisor
• Work closely with other departments such as customer service, production and procurement to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met
• Any other relevant duties as required by the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor or company management

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks safely, with experience and certification
• Basic computing skills and experience with inventory management systems (IMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and spreadsheets
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Must possess a high level of numeracy and literacy
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including early starts, late finishes and some weekend work
