The objective of this role is to lead all commercial planning, analysis, and sales support for JD’Cruz Airways in Malaysia. The position reports directly to the General Manager with additional reporting lines to the Regional Sales Planning manager (who is based in Singapore). The candidate is also expected to manage a small team of sales admin executives in addition to delivering on the sales planning portfolio.
The key responsibilities of the position are:
1. Support Sales Managers’ Strategy and Planning needs for the Malaysia Market
– Assist in business planning, pricing and performance monitoring
-Regular monitoring on effectiveness of pricing product and assist with setting of private and tactical fares.
– Establish and analyse commercial dashboards/reports (bookings, revenue, market share)
– Develop KPIs and make recommendations on sales initiatives
– Propose and lead tactical fare promotions, agency incentive deals to keep competitive in market
2. Conduit between HQ and local Sales/Marketing Teams
– Translate HQ network revenue management and pricing directions to local market conditions
– Understand and convey local market requirements to HQ departments to negotiate necessary inventory and commercial levers.
– Bridge local KPI with HQ objectives
3. Manage Sales Administration Unit
-Define scope of work and responsibilities for newly established sales administration unit
-Oversee Sales administration unit’s deliverables (trade communications/HQ negotiations) in support of Account Managers in the field.
The ideal qualifications are:
· Degree holder and capability with Tableau / PowerBI and Advanced Excel skills – Power Pivot etc
· Prior experience in airline pricing/ revenue management/ sales planning related roles will be advantageous
· Experience managing a small team and strong stakeholder management
· Entrepreneurial with good commercial acumen and strong analytical skills
· Good verbal and written communication skills
