Full Stack Engineer

This role in a nutshell:

To develop secure and efficient web applications that work smoothly on both the front and back ends. This involves writing clean code that meets coding standards and using tools to keep it in top shape. Ensuring that the parts of the apps that communicate with other software run seamlessly is a key aspect. Working collaboratively with the team, the goal is to keep enhancing the technology used, following the business’s goals, and consistently delivering positive user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software and processes for our websites.
• Collaborate closely with Product teams and Project Owners to implement, design, and launch new features for the website/system.
• Architect and design the overall structure of web applications, encompassing software systems, system architecture, and logical database design.
• Ensure the quality and responsiveness of our website/system, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
• Actively participate in code reviews and technical discussions with teams and product owners, contributing to the refinement of technical processes.
• Identify and address code refactoring opportunities while managing technical debt when necessary.
• Investigate and resolve bugs to enhance website usability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in full stack development.
• Proficiency in both front-end and back-end development, with a strong focus on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React.js, Node.js).
• Familiarity with MySQL is a plus.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Nest.js and Next.js is advantageous.
• Timely delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code using Node.js and Javascript.
• Solid understanding of writing unit and functional tests.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Strong organisational skills for software or website project planning.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify and address product issues.
