We are looking for a versatile, sharp-eyed storyteller to join our Marketing team as the Marketing and Content Specialist. If you can turn a complex idea into a clean headline before lunch, brief a photographer in the afternoon, and polish an executive speech by day’s end, we want to talk to you.

About the role

You’ll be the creative engine behind everything we say and show, across every channel we use, from website copy and social content to newsletters, campaigns, brochures, videos and case studies, you’ll help shape it. You’ll also step into the Chief Executive Office, drafting speeches, press releases and executive statements.

This is a role for someone who loves variety, thrives under shifting deadlines, and takes real pride in getting the details and the story right.

This position is a full-time permanent role base at our Auckland International Campus.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Writing high-quality, on-brand copy for web, email, social, print and video, always with SEO and audience in mind
  • Building a positioning strategy for AIC and partner institutions, and choosing the right channel for the right audience
  • Writing speeches, press releases and statements, and acting as a media contact for the Chief Executive
  • Working closely with designers, photographers, contractors, staff and external stakeholders to bring content to life
  • Developing style guides and resources that help staff across the campus communicate with confidence

Your skills and experience include:

  • A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, journalism, PR or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a communications, marketing or PR role
  • A track record of planning and delivering content and communications that get results
  • Outstanding writing, editing and storytelling skills across web and print
  • The confidence to sell an idea, manage stakeholder expectations, and juggle competing deadlines without missing a beat
  • A collaborative mindset — you’re just as comfortable leading as you are supporting
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in the education sector, or have an eye for photography, video or graphic design
