Job Title: Intern Graphic Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Intern Graphic Designer to join our design team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced design environment while working on various projects. You will collaborate with senior designers and assist in creating visually appealing graphics that align with our brand guidelines.

Skills:

• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Knowledge of typography, color theory, layout principles, and other graphic design fundamentals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within established brand guidelines
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
• Creativity and ability to think outside the box when conceptualizing designs
• Basic understanding of web design principles is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Work on daily tasks according to the specifications in each client’s orders.
• Design for a wide array of projects, from brand identity (re)design, presentations, digital ads and marketing, illustrations, print, packaging and more.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently and execute deliverables under tight deadlines.
• Follow internal processes and seek clarification where needed. Stay in close contact with team members to ensure that tasks are executed as required.
• Conceptualize and develop solutions to creatively meet client specifications and add business value through design ideation.
• Work together with your team members and Project Manager to troubleshoot any issues that arise. Be willing to find solutions in unpredictable situations.
• Be a team player who is collaborative, constructive and encouraging in providing feedback and supporting the team to grow together.
• Check all completed work to ensure that they match the client orders before submitting them to your Project Manager for a final review.
• Take ownership of the creative work that you produce as part of dedicated account teams, as well as help nurture our client relationships.
• Continue to upskill as a graphic designer with new tools, added capabilities, and building team members up through mutual feedback and encouragement.
• Assist the senior designers in creating engaging visual content for both print and digital platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet objectives
• Support the development of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, social media graphics, presentations, etc.
• Help maintain an organized library of digital assets including logos, images, templates etc.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for creative projects
• Conduct research on current industry trends related to graphic design

Qualifications:

• Must be currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma/certification program related to graphic design or a similar field
• Possess strong portfolio showcasing previous work or projects demonstrating proficiency in graphic design
• Availability for full-time internship duration (September – December 2023)
• Familiarity with various social media platforms is preferred
