About YCSS

YCSS is a licensed, fee-for-service organisation providing specialist wrap-around support to children, young people, and families. We deliver support through our specialist therapeutic programs – Youth Konnections, Keeping Kids at Home (KKAT) and Quality Connection Counselling (QCC).

Support Workers

About the Role

You will provide a high standard of practical support through therapeutic programs for Children and Young People aged between 5 – 17 living in Residential Out-of-Home care who may display challenging and complex behaviours.

Support Workers will utilise therapeutic professional parenting care which includes support through daily routines, education, recreational lifestyle support, capacity building, home maintenance and hygiene.

About You

You are resilient, confident, and able to maintain self-awareness when dealing with a high level of challenging and complex behaviours, historical trauma and Reactive Attachment Disorder.

Family Support Worker

KKAT works with the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Service to provide holistic, evidence-based support to parents so their children can continue to live safely at home or provide assistance to families whose children are returning home after being placed in out of home care.

The Family Support Worker plays a pivotal role in the provision of these front-line support services to children, young people, and families by implementing key goals and activities of the journey plan to achieve the desired outcomes, within the home environment and community.

We are currently recruiting casual employees with a range of availabilities across a seven-day period. Shift lengths vary from day to day, between the hours of 6am and 10pm.

At YCSS we are supportive of Student Placements we take placements within our Youth Konnections, Keeping Kids at Home (KKAT) and Quality Connection Counselling (QCC) programs
