WHO WE ARE
We are the peak body for all 139 Local Governments in WA and as a member-based organisation our role is to support Local Government to deliver better outcomes for their communities. We are made up of 5 portfolios, Member Services, Policy, Advocacy, Infrastructure and Executive and Corporate Services which house a number of smaller teams, that all work together to deliver on our strategic initiatives.
At the heart of this though are our people who enable us to achieve these outcomes. We have approximately 120 employees, mostly located at HQ in West Leederville, with a few regional people dotted around WA. We pride ourselves on offering fantastic benefits and entitlements and take the culture of WALGA seriously, but what we are most proud of is getting the chance to work on niche and interesting projects, with some incredibly talented people.
