About the Role

WA Blue Sky Disability Support Workers work alongside our customers to assist them at home and in the community with daily living skills and activities that contribute to a fulfilling life. We prioritise respect for the individuals we support, ensuring they have choice and control over their lives. You will help us provide flexible, responsive, and person-centred support, tailored to meet individual needs, lifestyle choices, and goals, ultimately assisting our customers in achieving greater independence.

Cloverdale

Balcatta
Midland
Maylands

About You

You are committed to helping customers achieve their goals while supporting their personal care and daily living activities
You respect customers’ choices and decisions, ensuring their dignity, privacy, and respect are upheld
You approach challenges with creativity and flexibility, bringing dedication and consistency to your role
You have a desire to learn and develop your skills
You are friendly, have a positive attitude and work well both independently and in a team environment
You uphold a high level of honesty and integrity in all interactions
You can build and maintain positive professional relationships with customers and team members
You possess strong verbal and written communication skills

To be successful in this role, you will need these Pre-Employment requirements

Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
Available to work various shifts, weekdays and weekends, across WA Blue Sky locations
NDIS Worker Screening Check or evidence of application
NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
Manual Handling certificate (less than 12 months old)
Medication Administration certificate (less than 24 months old)
Provide First Aid (HTLAID011) certificate (less than 36 months old).
Valid driver’s licence
Evidence of current year Influenza vaccination

Desirable Criteria:

• Possession of a certificate in Disability, relevant experience in community services, or equivalent life experience, along with a willingness to learn

• Proficiency with technology, including computers and software applications
