Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team for a clien based in the UK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Accountant will work closely with other team menbers to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide support for budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

Manage financial records and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations for the UK
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
Analyse financial data and provide insights to management
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Reconcile bank statements and other financial records
Assist with tax preparation and filing for the uk
Xero bookkeeping, supported by Hubdoc/Dext
UK VAT return preparations in Xero
Xero management reports
UK Accounts and Corporation tax preparations on taxcalc software
Collaborating with our 3 person team to complete this work in an effective and efficient manner

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
CPA/ACCA/CIMA certification preferred or equivalent
3+ years of experience in accounting or related field
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be competent in using Xero, with at least 2 years experience and a Xero certification
Have experience with Dext and Hubdoc invoice processing
