The Role

With exceptional people doing an exceptional job at Ignite, we are looking for a full-time Financial Accountant who will work out of our Sydney CBD office. You will be working within the broader finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare quarterly, half-year and full year statutory accounts and ASX filings
Ownership of accounting system including ensuring foreign exchange tables updated, month end and year end close and rollover and reconciliation between accounting system and TM1
Preparation of actual and forecast monthly, quarterly and annual cash flows for ANZ
Review and manage the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual compliance obligations around BAS/GST, PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation and workers compensation including any returns for ANZ, as applicable
Support finance systems and process re-engineering and documentation, including implementation of new systems as required

Must Have:

Strong understanding and knowledge of accounting principles and standards
Strong understanding and knowledge of Australian compliance and regulatory environment including statutory accounting, taxation (income tax, FBT, GST/BAS, PAYG) superannuation, payroll tax and workers compensation
Ability to be resilient in a challenging environment and adapt to evolving business requirements
Ability to manage opposing priorities and meet regular deadlines
