About Us

Cancer Trials Australia (CTA) is a not-for-profit member-based organisation consisting of 33 clinical sites and 3 medical research institutes across Australia and New Zealand. We support the administration and management of clinical trials across both metropolitan and regional hospitals. We work in close partnership with clinical research sites, Sponsors and Contract Research Organisations to ensure patients can gain access to appropriate clinical trials as quickly as possible.

CTA is committed to developing internal talent, and places great emphasis on nurturing a culture of compassion and purpose in the workplace.

CTA is also committed to equal employment opportunity and ethical practices. We recognise the rich diversity of people and the value that brings to the workplace. We support a culture of equity, inclusion, and diversity.

How we Contribute to Positive Patient Care and Outcomes

Our dedicated staff have supported the administration of more than 2,300 clinical trials, that have recruited in excess of 14,000 Australian patients. We continue to advocate for positive change in clinical trial regulation, working to ensure Australia remains an attractive destination for international clinical trial sponsors.

We strive to ensure clinical trials are conducted to the highest ethical standards. We are proud of the purposeful work we undertake and enjoy working together to provide our hospital network with expertise across four critical functions and services. These functions and services include:

* Coordination of Ethics and Governance documentation;

* Negotiation of clinical trial budget and agreements;

* Provision of information systems to enhance efficiency and track trial participant activities; and

* Financial management of clinical trials activity on behalf of our member sites.

These functions help to form CTA’s business model and enhance our commitment as a team working toward our vision and mission, and nurturing a culture that allows our employees to live our values in our work.

Knowing that our work contributes toward improving patient outcomes and advancing our national clinical trial ecosystem keeps us strongly connected and motivated as a team.
