About Us

Tū Ora Compass Health is one of the largest Primary Health Organisations in Aotearoa, supporting over 371,487 enrolled patients across a network of 43 general practices.

We deliver a wide range of health services across Wellington, Porirua, Kāpiti, Wairarapa, and the Hutt Valley, supported by a dedicated workforce of around 300 staff.

About the role

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team supporting whānau across the Hutt Valley. 

We’re keen to hear from professionals who: 

  • Hold a current practising certificate. 
  • Have at least two years’ experience in Mental Health and/or Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) services, or are counsellors experienced in working with those 12+ and up. 

What we’re looking for: 

  • A commitment to improving health outcomes for the whānau you support. 
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills. 
  • Excellent communication – both written and verbal. 
  • Have a solid understanding of psychological theories and evidence-based interventions. 

Bonus points if you: 

  • Are familiar/have experience working in a primary mental health setting delivering brief assessment and interventions (up to 6 sessions).
  • Have experience using Practice Management systems.
