Description

Position purpose

To assemble and install façade and window systems on-site, including aluminium and glass components. The role involves installation and integration with other materials, and the use of specialist tools and machinery — all delivered to high safety and quality standards.

Role responsibilities

Preparation and fabrication

•Interpret mechanical and machining detail drawings and specifications.

•Select, clean, and prepare aluminium and other metals for fabrication.

•Shape and bend aluminium sections using appropriate tools or machinery.

•Accurately align mechanical components and understand their function.

Assembly and installation

•Understand assembly and installation terminology and procedures

•Install façade and window systems on-site with other materials.

•Follow installation techniques for weather-tightness and fit.

•Adherence to QA/QC standards to ensure alignment with Thermosash shop drawings.

•Apply knowledge of façade components and terminology.

Health, safety and environmental compliance

•Wear PPE and follow all health and safety regulations and site protocols.

•Monitor safety on-site and report hazards or breaches promptly.

•Work safely at heights, following certified practices.

•Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work area.

•Actively participate in toolbox, communications and training

Maintenance and housekeeping

•Clean and maintain company facilities, machinery, and equipment.

•Handle aluminium, glass, and pre-finished products with care.

•Maintain tools and ensure proper storage and raise servicing issues as required.

Communication and teamwork

•Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.

•Maintain professionalism in dealings with main contractors and clients.

•Follow instructions from the Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.

•Submit accurate job reports and documentation on time.

•Ensure accurate time keeping for start and end times for tasks and for payroll
