UI Position

Summary:

We are seeking a talented UI Designer to join our dynamic IT team in Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall user experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technology and users, ensuring our applications are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
• Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to improve designs.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Ensure designs are consistent with brand guidelines and user experience best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies to enhance the user experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in UI design or a related role.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A portfolio showcasing previous UI design work and projects.
