Eliot Sinclair is a South Island-based multi-disciplinary consultancy with a confirmed forward workload and a growing pipeline of civil infrastructure and land development projects.
Summary:
We are looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team in Queenstown. This is an opportunity to build practical experience, learn from experienced professionals and contribute to high-quality projects across the South Island.
You may be a recent civil engineering graduate or have relevant experience from internships, summer work, or an early-career engineering role. What matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn and interest in developing a career in civil engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting civil infrastructure and land development projects, including roading, drainage, stormwater, wastewater and water reticulation.
- Assisting with engineering designs, technical documentation, tender documents and schedules of prices.
- Developing your understanding of design standards, project requirements and construction processes.
- Getting out on site and seeing projects progress through to completion.
- Working alongside clients, project managers and specialists from across our disciplines.
- Learning from experienced engineers and gradually taking on more responsibility as your skills develop.
What We’re After
- Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, either recently completed or nearing completion.
