Job Descritpion:

We are on the hunt for a full-time experienced leader to manage our Melbourne distribution centre commencing ASAP. This role requires the successful applicant to have previous experience in managing small to mid-sized warehousing and/or logistics operations. We’re looking for an individual that above everything else, can demonstrate genuine experience in logistics, warehousing and people management and has passion for continued business growth and success. Positioned at our Lilydale headquarters, your role will encompass a dynamic range of responsibilities. You will play a vital role in the logistics of our operations, involving tasks from packing trucks to driving to event sites for setup. Once the event concludes, your involvement will continue as you, along with your crew, retrieve the items, load them onto the trucks, and return them to our base.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the day to day running of staff including rosters, deliveries, and pickups

Flexible work hours are a must, be available for varying shifts inclduing nights and weekends

Appetite for manual labour and heavy lifting

Plan and co-ordinate incoming goods, storage, and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner

Ensure that staff are working in an efficient and safe manner

Monitor and evaluate staff performance and conduct regular performance reviews

Develop and maintain a professional and motivated employee team

Primary contact person for local event organisers regarding deliveries/pick up

Prioritise all logistic and dispatch enquires

Drive and manage trucks in a safe manner and in accordance with the regulations

Regular updates with management

Maintain a neat, clean, and safe workspace at all times

Overseeing stock levels

Maintenance and safety checks of hire equipment

Skills and experience:

Excellent Communication skills

LF Forklift License

Current driver's license

Ability to use power tools

Good level of physical fitness as you'll be involved in the deliveries of our products

Event logistics experience preferred

Strong attention to detail

Provide excellent customer service

Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities

Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Storeman is an advantage
