Due to a sustained period of growth, we are looking for an organised, proactive and adaptable Lead Tutor to join our friendly, expanding team.

Please note that we are a fully remote team, so this will be a home-based role.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to use your existing cyber security knowledge to teach and develop the next generation of cyber security professionals. Working alongside the existing CAPSLOCK training delivery team, you will deliver world-class cyber security education to help adults re-skill and prepare for a new career in the industry.  

You will be given the scope and capacity to undertake personal development in areas of your choosing whilst working within an organisation where diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of business objectives.

Key responsibilities

As part of the training delivery team, take a leading role in the delivery and facilitation of outstanding cyber security education
You will facilitate and contribute to CAPSLOCK’s team-based learning and problem-based learning methodology. This includes the facilitation of classroom discussions, delivery of slide-based learning material (provided), as well as working with learner teams to help them tackle cyber security problems and exercises  
We deliver education across part-time and full-time schedules. Therefore, evening delivery may be required in this role
Working alongside the wider training delivery team, take an active role in classroom administration and learner support. Escalate additional learner needs to the various CAPSLOCK support teams when required 
Assess, mark, and feedback on learner-produced content in line with training objectives and pre-defined marking criteria 
Use your experience and expertise to support the training delivery team in keeping the curriculum up to date and relevant for industry  
Take a leadership role in maintaining a positive and collaborative classroom environment for all learners at all times 
Take on additional project-based responsibilities outside of the classroom where appropriate and required.

Skills and Experience

Excited about making a difference and working within a social impact-orientated organisation 
A kind, empathetic personality, with a demonstrable passion for teaching others 
A broad understanding of information and cyber security concepts across people, process and technology, coupled with a dedication to continuous personal development in line with the requirements of the CAPSLOCK curriculum 
Actively mindful of equality, inclusion, and diversity and have a desire to make a lasting social impact 
Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group of learners with a range of backgrounds and technical understanding 
Flexibility in approach to the working week with evening and weekend curriculum delivery required 
To be comfortable working remotely from home or from a collaborative office space where appropriate
