Tedaisy Insurance Group’s Story

The lowdown

Tedaisy Insurance Group is made up of companies specialising in insurance underwriting, claims, broking and technology with offices across the United Kingdom including London, Cambridge, Belfast and Ireland. Over the last few years, Tedaisy Insurance Group has grown from 20 people, to a team of 60 across several offices on different sites around the UK.

While growth is an exciting stage for any business it often comes with a few challenges. Tedaisy needed an HR solution that could keep pace with its rapid growth and help integrate new businesses and staff into its culture. We spoke with Grace Hackman, Head of People and Culture at Tedaisy Insurance Group about the difference since they adopted our platform.

Life before Employment Hero

Before partnering with us, Tedaisy faced the challenge of managing a growing team spread across multiple locations. Their manual HR processes were time-consuming and inefficient, hindering the onboarding of new staff and the integration of multiple new businesses into the group.

“We’ve brought in lots of new businesses to the group, and new people to bring into the culture. So the teething problems with rapid growth started coming in fast,” says Grace. “It’s hard for everyone to know everyone across four offices, let alone understand their role.”

And they were swamped with admin. Grace was looking for automated processes, and the ability to get all of it in one place so it’s nice, simple and easy for managers and their teams to use.

“One of my priorities, apart from the functionality of the system, was the culture piece,” Grace recalls. “I really wanted to be able to have a place where everyone could easily see who worked on what that day, and see what’s going on across the business.”

 

How it’s going

“The team leaders find the 1:1 function on the platform super useful, because it keeps everything in all in one place, and gets rid of all the forms that were frustrating to manage,” says Grace.

And with features like our organisation chart and shout-out functions, staff across all locations can stay connected and celebrate each other’s achievements. “We love the shout out function. When a job’s done well, someone will be sure to give a shout out,” says Grace. “It really helps connect people, and helps everyone easily hear what’s going on.”
