Morgans is a dedicated financial advisory business offering a range of financial services to both private and public clients. Steve Goodwin, the Director of Morgans Employee Benefits, leads a dedicated team focused on Group Risk and Health Benefits. Life before Employment Hero

Steve recalls the frustration: “From our perspective, we didn’t have one person with a dedicated IT or HR function… as the main business spun off into smaller individual companies, that function no longer existed.”

A separate staff member would track entitlements and leave taken on a spreadsheet—a system ripe for errors and miscommunication.
“Our processes were out of date and things had to change,” Steve admits. “I wanted to make sure we had an easy way to evidence what leave staff had due to them, including any leave carried over from the previous year.”
