A whole new suite of updates to SmartMatch

Available for the following HR plans: Standard, Premium, Platinum

Employment Hero’s SmartMatch tool is revolutionising how you recruit by connecting great talent to your business. With the help of AI, SmartMatch analyses a candidate’s skills, experience, and certifications to find a perfect match. You get a list of work-ready candidates delivered directly to you – and now it’s even better.

View a snapshot of the SmartMatch candidate with their important information

Hiring can be a time consuming process, which is why we’re making it easier for you to view the most important information about a candidate.

When viewing a candidate card, you’ll now see a purple ‘Highlights’ section showing a summary of the candidate’s experience and key highlights about their profile. This allows you to get a quick insight about the candidates background and skills.

If you’d like to find out more information about the candidate, you can scroll down to view their full profile. This includes their work experience, education certifications, and skills.

Information includes distance (40 km away), last active status, work eligibility, and various certifications like WWCC, Police Check, and First Aid Training. Highlights section provides a summary of Angela’s experience in client care, strengths such as manual handling skills and effective communication, and roles of interest including Support Worker and Disability Support Worker

View SmartMatch candidates when creating a new job in the ATS

When creating a job ad in the ATS, you can now view suitable SmartMatch candidates once you’ve entered in the job title, city and industry.

These matches will appear under the ‘Recommended Talent’ column on the job creation page and you’ll be able to shortlist potential candidates instantly. Too busy to shortlist candidates? We’ll automatically add suitable candidates into the job for you to review later.

Job details setup page for a Barista role, showing fields for job title, industry, location, and employment details. The right side displays recommended talent, with profiles of candidates like Taylor B, Chloe C, Emelia M, and Penny A, along with their distance, last active time, and relevant experience. Options to view profile or shortlist each candidate are available

Customise your SmartMatch searches

Now you can refine your searches by including or excluding past hires, applicants and unsuitable candidates. If you’ve chosen to include past applicants, SmartMatch will flag these candidates and show you their application history.

You can now also view the ‘Application History’ (job applied, date applied and recruitment stage for the job) in ATS candidate profile.

It’s just another way we’re streamlining the recruitment process and speeding up the time it takes to hire the perfect candidate.

Say hello to custom Exit Interview Templates

Available for the following HR plan: Platinum

We know that when an employee leaves your organisation it’s hard to say goodbye. But as hard as it can be, it also creates an opportunity for you to gain insightful feedback into the overall employee experience, allowing you to improve in areas that might require a little TLC.

That’s why we’ve created custom Exit Interview Templates in Employment Hero. With these templates, you can tailor the questions to your organisation’s needs to gain deeper insights and ultimately improve employee retention.

You can create multiple Exit Interview Templates and customise the questions (text or multiple choice) and add a title. You can find this in the Exit Interviews > Templates tab in Employment Hero.

Streamlined payslip publishing

Available for the following HR plans when using Payroll: Standard, Premium, Platinum

We’re working hard to take HR admin off your plate, and that’s why streamlining the clunky parts of HR and payroll is always at the top of our to-do list.

We’re excited to announce that Payslips now automatically sync from Employment Hero Payroll through to Employment Hero HR upon publishing. Employees can also access their payslips easily through Employment Hero and the Swag app.

Automate your onboarding process today

Available on the following HR plan: Platinum

When you’ve found exceptional talent for your business and you’re ready to onboard them, giving them the best possible experience should be top of mind. That’s exactly where our brand new onboarding automation feature can help – so you leave no checkbox unticked during the onboarding process.

With our new onboarding workflows, you can customise the onboarding process by triggering actions based on which stage of the onboarding process an employee is at. You can also automatically create a Google or Microsoft account for them as part of your customised onboarding process. Plus, you’ll soon be able to create a task and custom emails to send out to intended recipients.

You can access this feature by heading to Workflows > Onboarding in Employment Hero.

Direct report reassignment alert

Available for the following HR plans: Standard, Premium, Platinum

When a manager leaves your organisation, it can be unsettling for the direct reports who are now without a manager. To help make the transition easier, we’ve added new alerts that notify Admins to reassign their direct reports to a different manager.

To set this up, you can create a task in your offboarding workflow where you’ll be reminded to reassign employees to a new manager when their current manager is removed from your organisation.

Boost candidate engagement

Available for the following HR plans: Standard, Premium, Platinum

We know how important keeping candidates engaged through the recruitment process is, and that’s why we’re excited to share that it’s now easier than ever. Following our update, you can send an email each time a candidate is moved to a different hiring stage, letting them know exactly where they are in the process.

When you’ve moved someone through the process, you’ll see a pop-up with an email text editor and your email templates. This allows you to instantly and conveniently send an email to the candidate in just a few clicks.

Say hello to your new dashboard

Available for the following HR plans: Standard, Premium, Platinum

We’ve introduced a new dashboard designed to give you a centralised view of the most important data. Access the company feed, your organisation’s HR metrics and more.

On your dashboard, you’ll also see your new to-do list. In here, you can see all tasks that require your attention, including documents that need to be acknowledged, contracts that need to be signed, new safety incidents, certifications to be completed and approved, induction content and policies to be acknowledged or reviewed.
