A big hello from the Employment Hero team and welcome to the March 2025 product update.
From simpler logins to faster compliance reporting, we’ll cover it all right here.
Let’s dive right in.
Employee leave can now be set to accrue from individual start dates
(Available to all subscription tiers)
You can now set up employee leave to accrue from each individual’s start date, rather than using a single calendar date for everyone. This update will help you feel confident that leave calculations are accurate, which may help with workforce planning and budgeting.
Carried-over leave balances now included in forecasting
(Available to all subscription tiers)
Carried over leave amounts are now included in your forecasted balances. Plus, we’ve added a helpful tooltip to clearly explain that the forecasted balance includes the employee’s carried-over leave, if applicable.

Filter your Chart of Accounts (CoA) by location and employing entity
(Available to all subscription tiers)
For those managing multiple entities and locations, you can now filter your Chart of Accounts (CoA) by both location and employing entity. No more choosing between one or the other, allowing more reporting flexibility.

Simpler logins now available with Passkeys in the EH Work App
(Available to all subscription tiers)
Passkeys can now be used with the EH Work App. Forget remembering complex passwords – use and manage passkeys directly within the App under Security Settings.

Policy and Induction Content reports now sit under the Compliance tag
(Available to all subscription tiers)
We’ve separated the Policy and Induction Content reports into two distinct reports under the Compliance tag. This means less waiting time for your data to load. Plus, we’ve added two handy new pinned report widgets for both, along with additional Custom Security Settings permissions for enhanced control.
Changes to Pay Rate Templates now auto-sync to HR
(Available to all subscription tiers)
Admins in Singapore and Malaysia no longer need to manually import Pay Rate Templates from Payroll into your connected HR instance. Now, any changes you make to Pay Rate Templates in Payroll – whether you create, update, or delete them – will automatically sync to HR in real-time.

Track sickness absences through the Sickness Report
(Available on Lite, Plus and Unlimited)
Our Sickness Report now provides a clear, concise table that outlines staff absences, including the dates, times and reasons. why, and when.Learn more about the Sickness Report.
Better oversight of sick leave balances
(Available to Classic Platinum, and EOS Unlimited subscription tiers)
Admins can now leverage the ‘Notify when sick leave exceeds a number of days in the last 12 months’ template. This allows you to set a threshold, and managers will receive an alert if an employee’s total sick leave within the last year surpasses that specified amount.
Increasing transparency around leave
(Available on Lite, Plus, and Unlimited)
Transparency is key, and we’re empowering you to ensure it. Admins can now make notes and/or request supporting documentation for specific leave types. This means fewer back-and-forths between managers and employees, and faster approvals.

We’re always striving to make Employment Hero the best platform for you and your team. Keep your eyes peeled for more exciting updates coming your way next month.
