About this role
Reporting to the WHS Supervisor, you’ll be providing support, guidance and coaching to site leaders & WHS Advisors in maintaining quality, integrity and standards to ensure the business protects workers from harm.
What your day will look like
- Supervise, coach, mentor and support WHS Advisors and Project Coordinators with planning, skills and abilities to develop and deliver WHS safe systems of work.
- Support the WHS Supervisor to implement successfully agreed strategies to continuously improve culture and manage hazard risks.
- Conduct infield verifications with WHS Advisors and site leaders to ensure the proper use and implementation of tools and processes used to evaluate WHS performance.
- Support line managers to meet the required standard for reporting and investigations.
- Facilitate high risk investigations using ICAM model.
- Analyse data and trends and communicate/advise of action required.
- Liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Please note that this is a full-time (Mon-Fri) position based primarily on site, with some time in office.
About you
- Ability to analysis and interpret data and information to improve WHS performance and standards
- Strong leadership skillset with ability to coach and mentor the development of others
- Problem-solving capabilities and an analytical mindset
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience producing correspondence, written reports, and instructions to a professional standard
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI
Qualification and skillsets needed
- 4 years or more in a HSE role
- 2 years or more in Civil Construction industry (Preferred)
- Min. Diploma or Advanced Diploma in HSE (Essential)
- A current and valid Western Australian drivers licence (Required)
- A current and valid Construction Card (White/Blue)
- Cert IV in training and assessing (Preferred)
- Lead Investigator ICAM (Essential)
- Lead Auditor certification in ISO45001 (Preferred)
- Unrestricted Australian working rights (Required)
