Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Tester to join our IT team in Brisbane on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you’ll help ensure our software is reliable, high quality, and delivers a great experience for users.
You’ll bring strong testing knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes and drive continuous improvement across our products.
What You’ll Do
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand project requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
- Conduct regression testing and performance testing to ensure software stability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
- Mentor junior testers and contribute to the development of testing best practices within the team.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual and automated testing.
- Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
