Description

Summary:

The Admin Support Worker is responsible for the provision of all administrative support and office management for the Redlands sites, as well as supporting the reception and broader administrative team when required.

The Admin Support Worker will also be responsible for providing administrative support to the leadership team when required.

We have multiple full time positions available with contracts up to February 2027.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the flow of people through The Centre for Women & Co., providing timely support to clients, contractors and visitors in person and over the phone.
  • Monitoring calendar movements for team members, visitors and contractors attending site, including preparation of meeting requirements.
  • Providing rostered and ad hoc support to the broader administrative team as required, e.g. answering phones to support main reception.
  • Performing other clerical Admin Support Worker as required to support the team – this may include typing minutes, rescheduling appointments, maintaining stock levels, mail handling, register maintenance and providing timely communication to team members across the site.
  • Maintaining security by following procedures and protocols for visitor and contractor attendance.
  • Ensure client and staff information is handled in line with privacy and confidentiality per CFWC policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to support with site based OHS requirements, compliance and initiatives.
  • Obtaining quotes and overseeing the maintenance, repairs and product purchases for the office facility and equipment.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and team cleaning roster to ensure kitchens & bathrooms are tidy.
  • Managing and monitoring the asset, safety upgrade inventory and mobile device registers, along with other relevant registers.
  • Maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders and donors as required and supporting with keeping the emergency relief services document up to date.
  • Support the broader leadership team in day-to-day activities as required.

Key Capabilities:

  • Demonstrated ability in MS Office 365, database experience or willingness to acquire skills through training.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Self-disciplined – ability to manage own time to achieve key outcomes and use tools effectively to assist with planning and organising.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a dynamic environment, by reprioritising actions as required.
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of trauma-informed practice and the impacts of DFV on women and children.

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience working in an administrative support position or similar.
  • Ability to work in a community-based organisation, to participate in a collaborative and supportive manner, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Sound organisational, analytical and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, including demonstrated ability to write and present clearly and concisely for other professionals and clients.

Note: it is a requirement of the role that successful applicant holds a current Working with Children Blue Card and QLD Driver’s Licence for the duration of employment.

The Centre for Women & Co. and Men & Co. Services are domestic, family and sexual violence and wellbeing specialists across South East Queensland. We predominantly work across Quandamooka, Jagera and Yugambeh Country and are funded to provide support to clients living and working in Logan and the Redlands regions.
