Summary:

Stirlings Performance Steels is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal Customer Service Representative to join our team in Ingleburn, NSW. This permanent full-time position plays a key role in supporting our sales and operations functions within the steel, logistics and distribution industry. Working in a fast-paced heavy industry environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, coordinating customer requirements, and building strong client relationships to support overall business success.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer inquiries and provide timely, professional responses to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Process orders, monitor order progress, and coordinate delivery requirements while resolving any related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders and transactions within the company database.
  • Liaise with internal departments, including sales, operations, logistics and warehouse teams, to ensure customer requirements are met effectively.
  • Support the ongoing development and improvement of customer service policies and procedures.
  • Identify customer trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement, providing feedback to management as required.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers to support long-term business growth and retention.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with company policies, procedures..

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a customer service or internal sales support role, preferably within the steel, manufacturing, logistics, or heavy industry sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Sound computer literacy, including experience with customer service systems, ERP software, and Microsoft office suite.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive and customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality service outcomes.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Previous knowledge or experience within the stainless-steel industry will be highly regarded.
