Stock Auditor – Contractor Opportunity
Risk & Security Management (RS) is one of Australia’s largest national Mercantile agencies. We provide field services to the financial services sector (including banks, other credit providers, energy retailers and insurance companies), government departments, global corporations and law firms.
About the role
As a contracted Stock Auditor, you’ll be engaged to attend car, motorbike, marine, agriculture and other dealerships to sight and reconcile all floor stock held under finance. Dealers are audited on a regular frequency; however the day of the audit is a surprise to the dealer. You’ll receive audit assignments through our online portal, where you can accept jobs that suit your schedule. Working within the dealership’s operating hours, you’ll be counting stock that should be held at the yard, confirming VIN numbers, and investigating any absent assets (commonly off-site due to loans/demos, repairs, transfers or sales). All documentation is completed live in-app, eliminating back-end reporting. Our operational teams are available during business hours to assist with any queries or concerns about your audits.
The core focus of this role is to ensure goals are achieved through:
- Effectively engaging with dealers
- Using third party mobile apps to track assets and engage with RS operational staff
- Managing follow-up activity to locate any off-site stock, or further information required by the clients
- Working collaboratively with other auditors across multiple sites to ensure all stock is accounted for.
- Communicating effectively with RS operational staff to ensure all client requirements are met.
About You
This role is 100% remote (field and home-based). As an independent contractor, you’ll have the flexibility to accept audits that work for your schedule (always within business hours Monday to Friday). The successful contractor will be comfortable with mobile phone apps, know how to politely but firmly navigate engaging with dealers, and can follow a variety of client process instructions on how to find and document missing stock.
Key skills include a strong work ethic, excellent communication (in person, and via phone and email), comfort working autonomously and the ability to pick-up technology processes across multiple apps.

Remuneration
