About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Tester and have expertise with retail and ERP business systems, great design and process abilities, and are a skilled communicator with development teams and business stakeholders.
Qualifications & experience
Essential Skills
- University / IT Qualification or at least 3 years relevant industry experience
- 3 years minimum experience in testing of software systems
- Experience in execution of test cases in various stages of SDLC
- Experience in large scale collaborative projects.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Highly organised
- Problem Solver with strong attention to detail
- Effective communicator with the ability to work with various stakeholders to achieve business goals.
- Team player, able to work effectively as part of a team, and ability to share knowledge and skills
Highly Regarded skills and qualifications
- Experience in configuration and use of automated test systems (back end and front end)
- Experience in testing integration projects using Soap UI and Postman
- Change Management experience
Tasks & responsibilities
- Actively participate in various test phases including system testing, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing / business acceptance testing and non-functional testing
- Create, maintain, execute, and manage the library of existing and new test plans, test scripts, test scenarios and test cases.
- Research processes, procedures with relation to our application and translate these into clear and concise test procedures, test cases and test scripts.
- Setup required test data.
- Report, track, investigate and manage defects to JIRA status to closure.
- Report on test results to team leader and release coordinator
