The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Administrator – SMA to join our Operations team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of SMA client accounts, including both superannuation and non-super investment accounts. You will manage high-volume processes such as bank reconciliations, margin lending account maintenance, financial hardship claims, PI claims, and super benefit payment requests. The ideal candidate has prior experience in funds administration, is comfortable working under pressure, and can balance multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You will occasionally interact with clients via phone or email and work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless account management. Training and induction will be provided, followed by business-as-usual tasks under the guidance of senior team members. Office attendance is required on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage BAU tasks for both super and non-super SMA accounts, including rollovers, direct debits, margin lending requests, and account maintenance.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and manage high-volume transactions across client accounts.
- Process financial hardship claims, permanent incapacity claims, and PI claims accurately and efficiently.
- Handle super benefit payment requests and complex account maintenance queries, including deceased estates.
- Maintain and update client records while liaising with internal teams such as Trade Support, Reconciliation, Distribution, and IT.
- Respond to adviser and client queries via Zendesk tickets, email, and phone, ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage multiple priorities under time-sensitive deadlines, particularly during key operational windows.

- Hybrid work arrangement: Minimum of 2 day per week in the office, typically anchor days for this team are Wednesdays and Fridays. Additional days on-site will be required until training in the role is completed face-to-face.

- The maximum salary budget for this role is a base of $78,000 plus super
- The role is eligible for up to 10% of a variable bonus annually
