The Role

The Payments Analyst is responsible for processing, reconciling, and administering domestic and international payments. This role plays a key part in our day-to-day Operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all cash movements.

You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and banking partners to deliver high-quality payment services. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work to daily banking deadlines, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process domestic and international payments including direct debits, BPAY, third-party transfers and scheduled payments
  • Complete transaction allocations, maintain narrations, and manage payment rejections
  • Perform daily reconciliations between internal systems and bank records
  • Maintain accurate records to support audit, regulatory and operational requirements
  • Prioritise and manage workflows to meet daily banking cut-offs and SLAs
  • Assist in continuous improvement and documentation of operational processes
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external vendors
  • Participate in daily team huddles and contribute to a positive, collaborative culture

Desired Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  • Experience in reconciliation and payment processing is essential
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in finance, fund administration, custodial services, banking operations or similar
  • Basic Excel capability (filters, formulas, validation)
  • Experience with banking or payment systems (e.g., ANZ Transactive) beneficial but training provided
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Proactive, eager to learn, reliable, and committed to quality
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Team-oriented with a service-driven approach
