🔑 About The Job
The Scriptwriter will specialise in Direct Response TV (DRTV) commercials while also writing compelling scripts for cinema, radio, and social media advertising. This role will focus on crafting performance-driven, conversion-optimised scripts that blend persuasive storytelling with strategic messaging. The successful candidate will work closely with the Creative, Marketing, and Production teams to ensure scripts deliver high engagement and response rates across multiple channels.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
- Write Direct Response TV (DRTV) scripts designed to engage audiences and drive conversions through clear messaging and compelling calls to action.
- Develop persuasive cinema and radio scripts, ensuring they are impactful, performance-optimised, and aligned with campaign goals.
- Adapt long-form storytelling into short-form, high-converting video scripts for social media advertising and digital campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with Brand, Creative and Marketing teams to ensure consistency in messaging and tone across platforms.
- Optimise scripts for different media formats, balancing emotional storytelling with direct response principles.
- Collaborate with producers, directors, and editors to refine scripts and enhance effectiveness.
- Write for both voiceover and presenter-led scripts, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and audience engagement.
- Monitor industry trends in DRTV, radio, and digital advertising, implementing best practices to improve script performance.
🤩 About You
- Proven experience in scriptwriting for DRTV, cinema, radio, or digital advertising.
- Strong expertise in direct response marketing, with an understanding of audience psychology and persuasive messaging techniques.
- Ability to craft high-impact, emotionally compelling scripts that combine brand storytelling with clear calls to action.
- Knowledge of TV, radio, and cinema advertising regulations and best practices.
- Experience writing for social media advertising, adapting messaging for different platforms and audience segments.
- Skilled in writing for both voiceover and on-camera talent, ensuring scripts are natural, engaging, and effective.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to revise and optimise scripts based on campaign performance insights.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
