The Opportunity
We’re looking for an ambitious Data Scientist to join the tribe at Maltem! The Data Scientist
is a systematic innovator who is able to utilise their statistical, machine learning,
programming and analytical expertise and skills to transform big data into meaningful
insights. Our new Data Scientist will be able to work autonomously and collaboratively with
other data developers, data engineers and software engineers to meet personal, team and
company goals.
● Development and implementation of advanced machine learning models to solve
complex business problems.
● Collaborate with developers to build data-driven applications.
● Communicate insights and results to stakeholders.
● Mentor and coach junior data scientists.
Key Skills and Requirements
● Extensive experience working with large datasets using Python tools.
● Advanced SQL experience.
● Extensive experience working in cloud-based services for data and ML (preferably
AWS). Strong Python skills, with experience using libraries like Pandas, Numpy, and
Scikit-learn. Experience working with AWS services like Sagemaker and Airflow.
● Strong understanding of advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical
models. Strong experience in Natural Language Processing.
● Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
● Experience working with large datasets.
● Strong communication and collaboration skills.
● Demonstrated autonomy and leadership abilities.
